Greetings All - Some Newbie Questions
on: February 22, 2014, 16:19

Hello all, this is a great website and resource. I am early into my juicing lifestyle and have a couple of questions I hope can be answered. I have been tinkering with some juicing using a Ninja blender and this is where my first question comes from

I recently created the following juice - 2C Kale, 1/2C Parsley, 1 Beet, 1 1/2 Red Apples, Juice of 1 Lemon, 1/2" piece Ginger and 2C water - The only new ingredient in the juice for me was the beet, after consuming the juice I felt quite sick to my stomach, is the beet the culprit??

I have just ordered a Omega 8004 and hoping to move forward with the 3 day fast to start when it arrives. I currently take a number of supplements on a regular basis, should these be stopped during a fast??

Are herbal teas OK during a fast??

Thanks in advance!

Once again a great site!!

Greg

Before adding the beet - did you normally have food with the juice?
How long have you been juicing?
Taking vitamins on an empty stomach could also be the culprit - especially zinc.

Probably was the vitamins. I've had the same thing happen to me when taking vitamins and not having solid food on my stomach.
