Blendtec Cleaning Question

How come Blendtec says not too wash a Wildside Jar in the Dishwasher? My washer does not use heating coils in the bottom of the washer. I asked Blendtec but did not really answer why. I am curious though.

May compromise the plastic and lead to leeching into your food.
