Storing juice?
on: September 27, 2013, 21:04

Hey! Just starting juicing, and I was wondering what everybody uses to store their juice? I'm going to make everything for the day in the morning and keep it in the fridge, does anybody have any suggestions on how to store as well as what to store it in? Thanks!

Juices lose their valuable anti-oxidants very, very quickly once they get exposed to air, warmth and light. A slice of orange, once cut and exposed, is said to lose half of its Vitamin C content within 30 minutes. So, if you can't drink your juices right away, try to put them into airtight containers immediately and then store these inside your fridge. I use airtight, sealed 2L BPA-free plastic water jugs made by Lock and Lock that fit into the fridge door. Many other people use Mason jars (glass fruit canning jars). Also, juices from Cold-pressed Juicers are said to keep their vitamin content for longer, compared to juices made from Centrifugal Juicers.
