KJ31, the best way to figure out how many calories are in your drinks is to head over to http://caloriecount.about.com/ and create your juice recipe. It will tell you not only calories but nutrition as well. Now, the calories will be wrong due to the fact you are juicing (extracting the fiber). So you will need to take the total grams of fiber and multiply by 4 (4 calories per gram of fiber) and subtract that from the total calories. That will give you a very close estimate to the caloric intake per juice.

Total Calories
Total Grams of Fiber (multiplied by 4) = Pulp

Total Calories minus Pulp = Caloric intake for your juice recipe.

Hope that helps KJ31!

Here is what the calories is using the site you recommended

Jolt Juice

Image

If this is correct then the calories are as follows

324 Calories

17.5g Fibre

17.5g Fibre x 4 = 70

324 - 70 = 254 Calories

Mean Green

Image

244 Calories

16.9g Fibre

16.9g Fibre x 4 = 67.6

244 - 67.6 = 176.4 Calories

Green Machine

Image

319 Calories

21.9g Fibre

21.9g Fibre x 4 = 87.6

319 - 87.6 = 231.4 Calories

So the total calories I am taking in if just consuming those three Juices A day would be 661.8 Calories

Is this correct

Going off of that you would take 17.5 grams of fiber and multiply it by 4 which gives you 70 calories from fiber (pulp)

324 total calories minus 70 calories from fiber (pulp that is not consumed) and your juice comes out to have 254 calories.

It's a good estimation but does not account for any pulp that may get into your drink. A good way to adjust is to take 10 percent of your fiber calories an add them back into your juice. So a good estimation would be that your juice has about 264 calories.

That's great just wanted to make sure I am getting the workout correct lol, How many calories do you roughly recommend a day then as I am just taking in the 3 juices a day and am on day 7 and have lost a total of 6lbs so far

KJ31, I don't ever recommend a certain caloric intake just as long as your having between 4-6 juices that are 16-20 ounces each so you get the correct amount of nutrition. If you don't take in enough juice and water your body will actually try to hold onto weight instead of let go of it. So don't focus too much on your calories and focus more on drinking enough juice to keep your body satisfied. I think you're doing great but you may be able to squeeze in another juice or two throughout the day.
