Positive Change in Life

Hi all,

I'm gonna start my blogs and will share my recipes and daily activities for bringing positive change with the help of Just on Juice. I hope it will work and I'll achieve my objectives. My target is 2 months and objectives are:
1. To loose 30 pounds
2. To feel happy as I was before
3. To be active as I was before

More objectives are there, will list down once I achieve those in 2 months... hope you all are with me.

By the way I live in south Asia, so will post recipes of vegetables and fruits available in my country.

Day 1:

Started with 1 glass of warm water added 1/2 lemon & 1 tea spoon honey. It surly gave energy. After half an hour here is the juice recipe I made for morning;

2 apples
1 grape fruit
few leaves of mint
1 carrot
pinch of salt and black pepper

It was just okay, was expecting a tasty drink but it wasn't :(

Later in afternoon here is another juice recipe I had;

4 tomatoes
4 cucumbers
2" ginger
2 carrots
few leaves of mint
pinch of salt and pepper

It was the worst juice i have ever tried :(

In evening I will surly have a tasty juice as I'm planning to have innovation with mangoes and strawberries 😉

Shabina, sorry to hear you had some some juices that didn't taste too well. Try this as a start and see what happens.

2 apples
1/2 lemon peeled
1 inch ginger
4 stalks of celery
Big handful of spinach or 4 kale leaves
1 cucumber

That's my go to drink right now. It will give you an idea of what a solid juice tastes like so you can experiment with it.

having headache, shiver and fever. It's too hot here but im shivering... does it happen when u go just on juices?

Shabina, it sounds like you are experiencing detox symptoms. People will usually experience slight detox symptoms that can last for the first three days. Once you are over the detox symptoms things get easier.

I suggest you do your best to read as much as you can on the site, and also to relax while you go through detox. Hope you feel better Shabina.

Hi Shabina,

Have you been drinking enough water? That is essential in order to release all the toxins in your body. Also, make sure you are drinking enough juice. If you only had two juices during the day that is not enough. I am no expert but everyday I drink around 2 liters of juice and two liters of water.

If you are not having enough of these, your body might be asking for more juice.

Hi Shabina,

I am also new to juicing and i started juicing last week on the 3rd of June....i only juiced during the day and have something light @ night i.e salads or fruit salads. I felt weak n' at times shivery but the secret to overcome the symptoms is by drinking enough water after every glass of juice you take and also through out the day as well as keep your self busy by reading JOJ or any other motivational articles they will keep you going.....All the best and Trust me as days go on you will feel better! Very well put! Ensure that you are drinking plenty of water and keeping your mind off of food. Reading is a great way to do that. I found that when I watched TV I was more tempted to eat out of habit during those first few days. That's because before my juice fast I would always snack while watching TV. Just focus on keeping yourself occupied so you don't present yourself with opportunities that will set you back on your old eating habits.
