First timer...Juicing
on: May 14, 2013, 19:09

Day 1 ....got late start today so my first juice is brunch ...I also made made too much juice and I have too much of something in it but it's taste ok. I leave for the wedding on 6/18 my bridesmaid dress is here and I don't want to go try it on yet.

My birthday is Saturday and we are having a huge party...food and boos so i won't be juicing Saturday. But will try to juice until I leave for Florida. I have 31 days yikes a pound a day hmmmmm this could work. Being 200 lbs and 5'2 .

Not feeling real confident right now. But gave all my juices bagged and I'm giving it 110 percent.

Si Se Peude!!!

Cyn

End of Day 1 well it's 7pm I have had two 24 oz juices will make one more in about an hour. Juices were ok today it's truly a mind game with food I have a house full as well as we are the gang out house. A lot of food is cooked and ate as well as the kids bringing In fast food etc. the smells were oh so tempting. The hardest part is drinking water.... Is there a cut off for drinking juices at the end of the day?

Thanks for the kind words they are motivating

Cyn

Keep positive and I'm sure you will look great on that dress. It will get better as you continue to juice and adopt an healthier way of eating the right foods.

I would skip eating on Saturday and instead welcoming a new birthday with a goal to get healthy.

I have a feeling the first few days will be extremely hard for me as well. I LOVE food, and I work in fast food and get a free meal everyday. I'll be bringing my juices to work though! I start on Saturday and I'm excited! Good luck to you!

It's also fine to drink a smaller amount of juice per serving as long as you simply have more servings throughout the day. You're body will adjust though and things will get very easy. Soon you will start to crave the juice! I love carne asada, you did exceptionally well if you resisted it! Keep up the awesome juicing! We are here for you.

Day 3.... I'm definitely getting rid of toxins I think I had lots in my body. My body is like hey what chu doing... I think I'm breaking out from it but will overcome it. My starting weight was 201this am 195 woot woot. I wish my birthday wasn't this weekend however I have added a few items to the menu, I am Latin and we partyyyyyy. I have some veggie dishes and platters and salads.... gonna try real hard.... It's gonna be ok. Do you think after the weekend I am gonna be back at square 1.... Juicing has been a decision that I don't want to have to explain or hear negative crap...oh no way, yuk, are u crazy, not that I really care it's just easier to keep to myself. Remember Bahamas and the bridesmaid dress...

Writing to anyone who reads and replies really helps...thank you.

You guys and the forum are almost as addicting as FB just healthier

Congrats on day 3! You're really doing great! One thing I did to stop people from asking too many questions is say that my doctor recommended I try a juice fast due to my high blood pressure. My doctor did recommend I keep doing what I was doing since it was working so it wasn't a lie but it usually stopped people from bugging me to eat this or try that etc.

Keep doing what you're doing! It appears that your starting to get some awesome results! The hard part is over and it will be an easy ride from here on out.

LOL - I agree! I actually decided to stay off facebook for a few days ... so what did I do instead? Searched on-line about juice fasting and started reading this forum and watching videos on youtube about it!

Buenos dias all- you can do it. I am on Day 13 and yes I understand tacos, carne asada, guacamole ( which is good by the way) and all that goes with it, but gotta tell you that a great complexion, a clean spirit, vitality and strength is so much more- si puede, it's all around me and that's all people do for fun-eat, eat, eat! Watch Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead for inspiration and you'll continue and of course this awesome forum helps. Just got back from the farmers market, had my juice, going to work out and have my lunch juice-mi vida es mas importante!!! And if they hassle you...just say you are curing symptoms you have been suffering from which is the truth- no more bloated belly, food hangovers etc. Buena Suerte- Yes you Can!!!

When I make my juice I end up with quite a bit of pulp. I drink my juice through a straw so I have a thick sludge at the bottom of my drink. Is it Ok to eat this when my drink is finished?

Aggie, no, don't eat the pulp. Just drink the juice. Your juices shouldn't be coming out that pulpy. It may help to strain your juices before drinking them. What kind of juicer are you using?

Janitza, you've already done the hard thing and that's deciding to commit to your juice fast. Try replacing your starbucks with some green tea in the morning. Don't overdue it though as green tea does contain caffeine. Good luck and keep us posted. I'll be here if you have any questions or need some motivation along the way!

Aggie, that's great! Don't worry yourself with a scale, trust how your clothes fit and how you feel! You're doing so fantastic, keep it up and you'll hit your goal soon! Congrats on going 4 days already!
