That's great Katerina! Welcome to JOJ! 30 days is a great goal and one that is very doable if you keep focused. I'll be here to help out in any way I can. Plus there are a lot of very awesome juicers here that will probably juice with you part of the way.

I have a couple of questions........how long do I drink the senna tea? Do I drink it every night of my juice fast or do I drink it just for the first week? Ive read different stuff but not sure how long im suppose to drink it. Also should I still be feeling extremely weak? I dont have the strength or energy to do anything. I feel like stopping my fast but I dnt want to feel like im giving up. I didn't know id still feel like this well into day 6. :(

Cyndy, I've never recommended drinking senna tea but you can stop drinking it whenever you like. Let the juices do the work and don't worry about adding anything else to your diet or your juices. Most tea is fine to have as long as its not loaded with caffeine and its just tea with no special additives. I find chamomile tea is great to drink after your last juice to help out with sleeping.

If you have any questions just let me know, I'll be here.

between 4-6 juices a day and about 10+ bottles of water a day but I feel extremely weak can barely move around.

It sounds like you're still going through detox. That's a good sign except for the lack of energy. Try changing up a few of your recipes and see what happens. Recipes high in oranges, lemon, and cucumber should help with the energy levels. Keep me posted.

Thanks for the "soup" recipe. My husband and I are going on an extended fast starting the 29th of July. The soup will give us some variety. I noticed you said we shouldn't add salt. Would Braggs Amino Acids be ok, or do we need to stay away from that as well?

Not sure about the Amino's, but just remember it's best to not add anything to your juices. If you want a more salty flavor you can add some more celery to it. It's a good meal that you don't have to drink and can sit down with a spoon and enjoy it! Here's a pic from a butternut squash soup I made last year when I first attempted to make soups from juices.

stumbled across your site completely on accident and thought I would stick around! 😉 I am always searching the internet looking for inspiration and motivation to keep me strong on my fast. I am a little behind you guys on my 30 day quest as I started on the 2nd of July so I am now on day 14. Love the feeling of being able to be part of a group so we can all encourage and guide each other on our journey to healthier lives. Sounds like you are all kicking some butt! The suggestion about taking your juice and making it into soup... awesome idea I am going to have to try that one of these nights once it cools down.

I'll dig out the recipe and get that posted so you can try it out. It's really good and helps when it's dinner time and you have to sit down with the family.

I'm on day 14 of my fast. It hasn't been easy because my stomach has been upset since day 5. I don't think I will be able to go past the 30 days if this doesn't go away soon. I committed to 30 days so I am going to reach that goal no matter what. I haven't been able to leave my home because of my stomach and this is getting frustrating. I did a 7 day fast once before and the same thing happened on day 6 and 7 so I stopped my fast. I will reach my 30 day goal this time tho. (Here's hoping it gets here soon.)lol

My juice is usually the same. I will add a peach or grapefruit every once in awhile but I try to stick to mostly greens. I wish to loose weight so I don't want a bunch of fruit in my juices.

here is the recipe I use:

one granny smith apple
one cucumber
2 carrots
3 celery stalks
3 leaves of romaine lettuce
handful of spinach
1/4 lemon

Debi, try adding a little bit of ginger to your juices. Ginger has many benefits and may help with your stomach problems. Try is out and let me know how it works. Also, are you making sure to drink plenty of water immediately after you have a juice and throughout the day?

I was reading about a home remedy that uses one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water before your meal can help relieve my symptoms. Can I have apple cider vinegar on a juice fast JOJ? I sure hope so.
