Corpusmae, you are doing exceptionally well! You did the best you could with the two scenarios you had. One thing I find very complicated is when I have to meet people/clients for lunch or dinner. I typically do the same thing that you do and order a very light soup or eat a light salad. Very good choice you made!

Just keep making good and healthy choices for yourself. I can't believe it's been 9 days already!!! Try upping your spinach intake a little bit. Spinach helps in ridding water weight that may be hard to let go of otherwise.

You just keep doing what you're doing, you are kicking major butt! Keep us all updated Corpusmae and have a fantastic day tomorrow!

GM-going on 10 day- thanks Donnie for the tip on the spinach- will do as I didn't drop any weight this morning- probably cause of the soups. My son also is still going at it with me and told me he realized he hadn't dropped cause he was probably drinking too much fruit, switched more to green and it turned around. Today I will do just that. A little sluggish today...but will pep up soon as I have my lemon water and juice. Have alot on my plate at work right now ( not food-LOL) but still hanging one day at a time. Looking forward to seeing who joins you for 5/20...we'll see where I am at by then...Touch base later-Carpe Diem!!!

Congrats on 10 Days of juicing Corpusmae!!! That is fantastic! Also, don't trust what the scale says, trust how your clothes fit and how you feel about yourself. That is the best way to judge how things are working. Also, if you do weigh yourself, do it before your last drink and not in the morning. Keep up the good work, you are doing such an incredible job!

Ok that is a great tip, never thought about weighing myself later in the day- hmmm interesting, can you elaborate on that? Today I am arriving home hungry- don't know if that change with soup did it or I didn't drink enough juice today so I probably need to get in the kitchen and make my juice. My son is stil going strong and lost 13 pounds. Glad we are hanging in there one day at a time-talk at you later.

Here's an interesting experiment. Try weighing yourself before your last drink and then again in the morning after you've been up and used the restroom. See what the difference is. It is best to weigh yourself before your breakfast juice and after you've used the restroom in the morning. When I was juicing I was doing it in the evening before my last juice.

Either way, just make sure you are using the scale at the same time of the day and same place. Also, it's not good to weigh in every day as your body will fluctuate and change. Check your weight every 3-5 days. It will keep you more focused on the juicing and you'll see larger numbers.

Okay I will do that. I do weigh before I juice and after restroom.Today I will weigh before my last drink and see the difference and won't touch the scale again for 3 days. The scale says this morning that i have lost 11 pounds since I began the fast and I am on day 11. Last night after I wrote I was hungry and planning to juice. Sat on the couch and fell asleep and eventually just went to bed witout juicing. I guess I was tired and slept all night until now.Probably about 11-12 hours. Wow and I could have stayed in bed if the alarm hadn't gone off. So now I need to get myself rolling, have my lemon water ready to go and will juice in a bit...should feel great today, got enough rest. Here I go!!!

I haven't started juicing yet, but I'm curious - when you are juicing do you weigh more or less at the end of the day before the last juice?

Corpusmae, rest is a key point in losing weight. That's when your body rests and resets. It's good that you got caught up on sleep. Have a great day!

Claire, Your weight will fluctuate throughout the day but it's best to weigh yourself at the same time, every few days. If you do want to weigh yourself in the morning it's best to do it after you've been up for a while but before you have your first juice. When are you planning to start juicing? We have a group fast starting on Monday 5/20 if you can join us.

Checking in- had a fabulous day today, felt great, energized and had my juice all day and felt great even when having to stay late at work for interviews till 7:30. Still up and it's 10:30 and still feel great. Tomorrow Day 12- so happy...but have a dinner event again but think I can pull it off. My skin feels so great, noticed some inflammation I had in my legs has gone down, sleep well and haven't had any leg aches since I started. Had alot of spinach today as you said. Good night and sweet dreams, check in tomorrow.
@ Claire- haven't done the comparison on weight with scale yet, just weighed this morning and off the scale for 3 days...maybe after that I will check, didn't do this for weight loss anyway although I definitely need to do that...did it more to get my health back and kick it up a notch. It is worth it! Good luck!

It's great to hear from you Corpusmae, I look forward to checking in on you. One thing about the spinach though is that it can dehydrate you if you take too much. My doctor told me I was dehydrated and I explained to her that I drink well over 64 ounces of water per day and only drink juice for my meals. After explaining it to her in detail she had told me about the spinach. I didn't feel dehydrated but for some reason my blood test said that I was. So just be careful and don't overdue it. But I was also going through one big bag of spinach per day.

I have 6 more weeks of TurboFire - a beachbody exercise program. I want to do a 10-14 day juice fast at that point before going into my second round of TurboFire. So it probably won't be until the beginning of July. I'm going to see if I can start borrowing my friends juicer this weekend though so I can start juicing once a day.

You can get a juicer for really cheap if you can't get a hold of you friends juicer. Look at http://www.justonjuice.com/juicers and the Hamilton Beach should be going for around $55 with free shipping.

Good Morning, Still here. Been a crazy past two days with events again and of course late nights at work. Today I start day 13 and have managed to get through it all. Day 11 I dealt with an appreciation luncheon that the parents did at school for my teachers. I didn't want to hurt their feelings so I went into the luncheon because they expected me to eat and told them I had a scheduled meeting but took a plate and thanked them, then gave it all away to my admin assistant. Worked for me! The only problem is that I had another engagement that night with my colleagues for an award banquet where I needed to give a speech recognizing one of my teachers. When you mentioned about spinach it made me think about this, I had my lunch juice not with lots of spinach but I didn't have time to have my evening juice because I was running late and so I rushed to the dinner, sat down and figured I could have a glass of water which would keep me until I got home. I already felt dehydrated because I don't think I have been drinking enough water. When I returned to the table my colleague had ordered me sweet tea and I was feeling parched. I looked around for the waiters who were serving a standard conference meal. I asked for water, didn't come. I asked for water again, didn't come, I asked for water again, didn't come, I ended asking for water 6 times with nothing available for me to buy close by while the salad came. I took a bite of one piece of lettuce because my mouth felt like glue, then I finally got a glass of water and swallowed that done, wanted another but no one in sight and the speeches had begun. My turn I started talking and through it, I felt like my mouth was stuck together and told my brain talk because for a minute thought I couldn't get the words out because my mouth was struggling to unglue itself; they probably thought I was nervous.Ha Completed it, sat down and took two sips ( very small of sweet tea)because there was no water in sight and passed up all the food. Leftthat event, called my husband and said, have a large glass of water waiting for me, He did,boy was I grateful; then I had my juice. Lesson learned, take water with me, drink more water...but hey here I am at Day 13. Day 12 I did fantastic, everyone says you have so much energy, felt hungry because I got home late last night and thought of pasta for the first time, but as soon as I juiced felt absolutely fine...just have to drink more water. I am sure you were wondering where I was but still here and don't intend to stop anytime soon, but I will know when it is enough. Feel great otherwise. Thanks for the tip on dehydration, that was probably my problem that day-will increase water intake, sometimes get busy and don't drink enough. Hope all is well, I am stronger than I think, this is what I have found out since starting.
