Splatter!

I just bought a Breville Compact Juice Fountain and my first juice bits and pieces launched out of the top. No big deal just some spinach and celery on my counter top. My second juice was with beets..... now my counter top and my hand is covered with pink specks.

Does anyone have any advice how to prevent this or am I doing something wrong?

Ktjohns, I would suggest you disassemble it and then make sure to reassemble it following the directions. It sounds like a juvenile answer but I've seen how easy it can be to put it together wrong or not have something in place correctly. Everything should snap and fit together perfectly. Nothing should be launching out the top. If you're still having trouble then make a phone call to Breville directly. If you still can't get it to work right then take it back and get a new one.
