Juice to help in childbirth/ labor
on: May 8, 2013, 14:46

Hi all,
i am brand new to this forum. I am 4 weeks away from delivering our 5th baby. We deliver at home, so i have to option of juicing if i want. Does anyone know if there is a juice recipe that can help my body in labor? Possible a juice that would help with pain tolerance? Thank you :)

Wow, that's an awesome freakin question! I'm new to juicing myself with only 1 1/2 month and I feel great and I'm sure even if you don't find a pain tolerance recipe the juicing will make it easier giving you more energy while delivering your new baby.

Anyways, I'm sure these guys here will know more and give you a good advise like they have done with me. Congrats on your new baby that's on the way!

Jose

Jhayes, congratulations! Being this late in your pregnancy I wouldn't advise you to go strictly juice but adding juice to your diet now will definitely help you out. Celery juice has been known to help with pain and anti-inflammatory produce such as pomegranate, garlic, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, and blueberries will help out greatly.

I have sciatica and was supposed to go to surgery but opted for injections instead. Since I've been juicing, the pain has been at a very tolerable level and at most times unnoticeable. I stopped taking the injections and have no plans to go for surgery.

As always I would suggest asking your doctor about it to see what kind of feedback he/she might give you. But juicing will give you plenty of nutrients to help you over the next 4 weeks. Keep us updated and again, congratulations!

"Willpower is essential to the accomplishment of anything worthwhile." Keep this in mind while on your fast!

I was 212 lbs before I started juicing, today I am 185 lbs and feel better than I did 10 years ago!

Thanks Jose!

Am sure you are right, even if there isn't some special recipe, i can't wait to experience labor after a couple months of Juicing! I am sure sure you are right about the extra energy. I have experienced easier and shorter births/ recovery, than all of my friends so far. Just due to overall better health. But now will juicing should really add some great benefits to me and baby! Glad to hear you are feeling so good!
