How long does it take you to juice?
on: April 14, 2013, 22:41

It usually takes me about 10 minutes from start to finish to make a juice. This includes prep, juicing, drinking, and cleaning the juicer. I've had a few people tell me that it's taking them 30 minutes to an hour to make a juice.

I'd like to know what kind of tips you guys do to help cut down your preparation and juicing time. Also, if you're taking a long time to juice, tell us what is slowing you down and what would help.

I was 212 lbs before I started juicing, today I am 185 lbs and feel better than I did 10 years ago!

I generally juice in the morning and make between 1 and 1 1/2 quarts of juice. I take a quart to work every day and drink any extra as I clean the juicer and get ready for work.

I have an Omega 8004 which is much slower than a centrifugal juicer, so it takes me more than 10 minutes to do the actual juicing. I have been cleaning my veggies right before I juice, so that adds to my prep time.

From start to finish it takes me between 30-35 minutes. That's for juicer setup, veggie prep, juicing, cleaning, and putting the juicer away.

I'm not sure what I would do to speed things up, but I am okay with the time it takes.

I weighed 201 pounds when I started juicing on March 15, 2013. My weight today is now 185 1/2 on 4/21/13.

That's not bad timing for an Omega juicer. I want to get one as I hear the quality of the juice is outstanding!
