Have You Tried Juicing...

I don't know about you, but I love to snack on raw radishes. Did you know that radish greens are very mild tasting and a great addition to any green juice?

My wife and I love broccoli, but she only eats the very tops. So, now that I am juicing, I buy a little extra broccoli, cut it very near the top, and then retain the entire stem for the next morning's juice.

I also love lightly cooked asparagus cold for a snack. But when I prepare the asparagus I cut off the fibrous bottoms and only cook the tender part of the top. So, I save the bottoms as well and toss them into next morning's juice as well.

I'd love to hear the things that you save from the garbage by juicing them. So, please share your ideas.

I love radishes. I like to sprinkle a little bit of lemon juice and pepper on them. I also do the same with carrots and cucumbers.

I always save my left over salads and juice them the next day. Romaine lettuce is an excellent source of protein for any juice. Plus the romaine gives the juice a real earthy taste. Another thing I save are the orange and lemon peels. I like to throw them in a pitcher with water to drink throughout the day. It's very refreshing and my sons even enjoy the mellow taste.

I was 212 lbs before I started juicing, today I am 185 lbs and feel better than I did 10 years ago!

Oh, that's nice! I just saved the lemon peel from my morning juice and am now enjoying a glass of lemon scented water. Very refreshing!
