Batch juicing in busy cafe
on: March 13, 2016, 07:54

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to come up with a way to keep up with demand for juices in a cafe/juice bar.

We currently use a centrifugal juicer which is often wasteful and pulpy, and still hard to keep up with all the different juice combos. A masticating juicer would make better juice with a better yield but would be impossibly slow.

My idea is that batches of different juices for blending are made in advance and stored in airtight bladders like wine bags. Using sales records, you could predict how much of each you will need for next, say, 36hrs. The bladders are put in boxes for easy dispensing when mixing juices.

Do you think there would be much nutrient loss, compared to centrifugal juicer to order? Besides that, do you think customers would be put off by it?
